hello guys, today’s topic is Aircraft Principal axes in previous video i had explained about control surfaces you will find the link in description so in this video will see about axes of control surfaces my name is akash & you’r watching Aero Simplified channel during flight aircraft can rotate freely in ant dimension and this moment is defined as Normal,Logitudinal & Lateral axes let see about the axes axes is an imaginary straight line which passes through the center of gravity of an aircraft this axes will move along with the aircraft and also rotate relatively along the earth this rotation is produced by torque this axes is produced by moving a control surface and this vary with the center of mass of an aircraft first will see about normal axis this is also called as vertical axis or yaw axis this axis is from fuselage’s top to bottom which passes through the center of gravity of an aircraft motion of this axis is called as yaw motion yaw motion moves the aircraft left & right this yawing motion is controlled by rudders these rudders are place on vertical stabilizers second will see about lateral axis this is also called as pitch axis this axis is from one wingtip to another wingtip which passes through the center of gravity of an aircraft motion of this axis is called as pitching motion this pitching motion moves the nose of aircraft up & down this motion is controlled by elevetors these elevators are placed on horizontal stabilizers last comes longitudinal axis this is also called as roll axis this axis is from nose to tail which passes through the center of gravity of an aircraft motion of this axis is called as rolling motion this motion moves aircraft up & down this motion is controlled by ailerons ailerons are placed on the wing of an aircraft guys this is about aircraft principal axes
