  1. People claims that tank's tracks are easy tk destroy but that is, actually not true. Sorry for people who keeps claiming that, though. But you are speaking the truth in WW2 tanks. They were slow and much easier to destroy with modern RPG, SMAW amd Javlin. Etc. And even if you don't have them, most of them were destroyed with 50.bmg or 20mm.

Modern tanks, and newer tanks, are fast as our cars, and their tracks are much more sturdier. If not, they would not be qualified as military weaponly.

Some people also claim that we can burn a tank with normal fire, and that is the dumbest claim that I ever heard. To melt the tank's armor we need to raise the heat more than 1200 celcious. And remember that fires in the forges are kept on maintained by human influence to keep the temperature high. We blow wind on its bottom. If not, fire will remain in low temperature. Not enough to melt iron.

We can still blow up the tanks with many explosives but military is developing smart materials for the tanks and LAVs. As well as mounted Anti-explosive system, developed by DARPA. But to me, the system looks too big and clunkly. Again, I do not think that would be a problem once the tank is in the open warzone, or big streets, rather than narrow ways.

But, after the War in Syria, militaries around the world is debating wheather to cut the productuon of tanks or should continue it.

I don't know. I heard and read that from somewhere but I don't exactly remember. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  2. This is NOT a tank. It has no armament. No main gun, although the production vehicle may have a machine gun for defensive purposes. It is not used in direct combat action. It is a amphibious support landing vehicle used to transport personnel, equipment, supplies and vehicles (such as tanks) from ships to shore and return. It is NOT a tank. Please learn the difference between a tank and a amphibious landing vehicle.
