Download ENTIRE Media Library to your Computer (WordPress)

August 30, 2019

Hey, everyone. In this tutorial, I’ll show
you how you can easily download to your entire media library for your computer. This will require
you to install a plugin, and what the plugin will do is it will
compress all of your items in the Media Library. So all your images, absolutely everything in there, and
compress them into a zip file. So to do that go into Plugins, and click Add New.
Search for a plugin called “downML”. And it’s that one there, downML, Download Media Library. So we’ll install
that one, and then activate the plugin. Cool. Once that’s done, you should see a tab on the left handside column called
downML. So just click on that. And then automatically, it will generate and allow you to download your media library. So
that’s already done that automatically when you click on that link. So all you
need to do now is click on that file to download, and save it anywhere
on your computer. And, that’s it. There’s nothing else to do. Now when you want to access your media
library, all you need to do is just uncompress that file. And there you have it. Every single item that’s in your
media library, now available to you on your PC. And this
will include everything, including images, PDFs, documents, anything you include or have added into your media library.
Any questions, feel free to ask in the comments below. And, don’t forget to thumbs up and

  1. Media Library contains 394 files in excess of 315.72 MiB

Note : Creating a huge zip file. This page may timeout before zipping is complete.

    Creating compressed file …failed.

Sorry Sonny! Something went wrong. Reason : zip open failed. Exiting

    lame :9

  2. I too am having it timeout. Unlike Doodle Daddles I have only 72 files and 23.69 MiB. Is there a work around?

  3. Can be done with File Manager plugin, or with FileZilla app, which I'd say you both need anyways if your website is a little bit more than a business card extension or a little blog.
