I am a scuba diver and once came face to face with a sea lion. I thought it was a shark at first. I just instantly stopped and did a 180 and so did the sea lion. Ive been to anacapa island and Catalina and all up and down the beaches and marinas in southern california and even in hawaii scuba diving and snorkeling and surfing and never seen a shark. I never do want to see one either.
