WordPress Tutorial: How to Use a Custom Menu in a Widget

August 27, 2019

Hi, and welcome to WordPress.com. This video will show you how to use
the custom menu widget on your website or blog. Custom menus can be used to create
lists of links to your content or to outside resources. To get started, first we have to create
and save a custom menu, and then we can add it in a widget area. Click on Customize, and then on Menus. Create a new menu and give it a name. Choose the items you want in your menu, like a page, a link, a category, a tag, or a post. In this example, we’ll add one of our pages
and an external link. Save your menu. Now, in the Customizer,
click return and click on Widgets. Choose the widget area
where you want your menu to appear. Add the custom menu widget, add some text that you want to appear above it, and select the menu we just created. Save your changes, and go take a look. For more tips and tricks,
